Ice Maker (Kashering) Status: If the ice maker is part of the freezer, empty the “bucket” which holds the ice, clean the bucket thoroughly (and also clean the ice dispenser if there is one). All fresh ice made after this cleaning, can be used for Pesach. If this is a free-standing ice maker that sits on the countertop and was used during the year, we do not recommend using it on Pesach. If your refrigerator has a cold-water dispenser, it can be used for Pesach after it is cleaned well on all sides (especially around the spout). If there is also a hot water dispenser, that cannot be used on Pesach and should be covered. If the refrigerator has a built-in ice maker, empty the “bucket” which holds the ice, clean the bucket thoroughly, and also clean the ice dispenser if there is one.
